Back

Our name means Light Cry Youth Culture

Isaiah 58:1
Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

1 Timothy 4:12
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

We believe in the youth of our nation as being our future. We teach them not to be silent about their faith, to preach the gospel everywhere they go and if necessary, to use words!

Things we do:

Missions Trips

     The 2007 Missions Trip is planned for the inner city of Chicago. We will be visiting JPUSA, Jesus People USA, an inner city outreach to the elderly, homeless and underpriviledged. There they will minister wherever help is needed. They might help in the shelter, foodlines, kitchen, whatever or wherever help is needed.
     A couple of the programs they will be involved in are; Brothas & Sistas United, Cornerstone Community Outreach and Friendly Towers.
     The trip is scheduled for late August.

Radio DJ's

     Our youth have their own radio program on WRDS 104.3FM. Every Saturday night, from 7:00pm to 10:00pm they run the station, play their own christian music and have a unique opportunity to minister to their peers.

Camp

     Every year we send as many teens to camp as want to go! They travel to Lost Valley Bible Camp, located just outside of Gaylord, for a week, returning with a very intense spiritual awakening. The camp offers everything from swimming to nightly prayer meetings. It's lots of fun, games and great biblical teachings!

STL = Speed the Light

     This is the mission field completely sponsored by A/G youth groups. 100% of all funds go directly into the mission field purchasing items needed by the missionaries. This is intended to Speed the Light of the Gospel of Christ into all
the world. This year's theme is 2 for truth, which means the youth give up $2.00 weekly to help spread the truth.

Ages range from 7th grade to 19 yrs and they practice at the church on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. This is their logo! Anyone wanting to join just has to show up! Pastor Lonnie says he can teach anybody to sing and read music.
